Paula - "Emily first came into my children's lives in August 2013 when my two teenage daughters needed to prepare for their grade 5 ABRSM music theory exam. At very short notice Emily got them up to speed and they both passed with flying colours. They both continue to take music theory and aural lessons with Emily. She has excellent knowledge of the subject matter and is able to explain it well.

My young son has recently started taking keyboard lessons with Emily. She has made the lessons fun and appropriate for his age. He thoroughly enjoys the lessons and has learnt a lot.

Eva - "Self taught for just over a year, in my 40's, I decided that I needed some guidance in my piano learning as I had been feeling stuck for a while, and luckily Emily had a slot that perfectly suited me. Don't let her young appearance fool you when you open the door and meet her for the first time, this lady can play the piano and is an excellent teacher. Even though she accommodates her lessons to the student's taste in music and has a very motivational approach, she does push theory and exercises but at a slow pace and I have been able to play much better pretty fast without feeling overloaded. She explains things very clearly, and gives a lot of help and tricks on how to practice. She is very quick to correct mistakes to avoid bad habits to become permanent and has an excellent eye and ear when watching her students play, helping with fingering, detecting the passages where I had a bit more trouble and helping me to better understand how to play them. Thanks to her I now know how to plan my practice and how to approach the pieces, which simply means that I can learn them much quicker. A good teacher proves his/her value after the lessons, and seeing my progress I can personally say that Emily is an excellent teacher and fully recommend her to any piano student."
